Two of the new Alco-MLW units were destroyed along with a roundhouse and
a Plymouth ML-8 switcher in Skagway during a huge fire on October 15th, 1969.
The two stripped shells were deposited near the river bank where they remained
for the next 25 years before being scrapped. This is no. 105.
